The Rolls-Royce Trent 500 FMU builds on our expertise established on the highly successful Rolls-Royce Trent 700 and 800 engines.  Built-in thermal compensation in the metering valve delivers high accuracy throughout the full temperature envelope.

Fuel Pump Metering Unit (FPMU)
This FPMU is a low-cost failed fixed system designed for the engine on a military turboprop.
The FPMU incorporates built-in SmartCalTM electronic calibration data, which increases overall metering accuracy and reduces lane-to-lane error in a more cost effective manner than ever before.

Our latest fuel metering unit on the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine uses SmartCalTM with built-in electronic calibration data for increased overall metering accuracy and reduced lane-to-lane error.
The Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 unit also incorporates part of the innovative FLOWlinxTM system, reducing pump-heat rejection by 40% and minimizing the need for additional cooling.
